Our Surety
- a watchful devotion -
The question always remains about having our prayers answered and as impatient people, should be granted in a timely manner, eh! Actually, many of these petitions or intercessions are already anticipated and only waiting for our realtime statement of faith. Whereas, the good riches of God's Word has already outlined the heart of the gospel with us most assuredly. An expectation of faith unlimited and usually accompanied by the peace which surpasses all understanding. And when in doubt, ask again. "Let anyone who has an ear listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches." Or more directly: "Sleeper, awake! Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you" (Ephesians 5:14 NRSVue). Obviously, this type of faith comes from abiding in the quiet moments of the day with unceasing prayer (so to speak). While certain topics should or may require an extra effort of devotion, which presses through the dark clouds of this world. "Now I know that the Lord will help his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with mighty victories by his right hand" (Psalm 20:6).
