"Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more eager to confirm your call and election, for if you do this, you will never stumble" (2 Peter 1:10 NRSVue). Moreover, the messianic calling of God's children is suffering an identity theft by soft spoken preachers. They would portray Him as a jolly fat man (so to speak). Thus, biblical expectations are on receiving gifts of prosperity for this side of the journey. Whereas, the act of discipleship is modified and often replaced through the subpar spirit of fellowship with one-another. The difference between the good, better or best for His glory.
