Gospel Insight

Salvation and faith in Jesus Christ is a necessary first step towards regaining our rightful place in the family of God. We've been endowed with a life giving spirit and the right to fellowship with the Lord God. So it was in the beginning with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. They were blessed with a close relationship to God and given a stewardship in the creation on earth. This was a glorious time as the angels witnessed God's wonderful creation.

Adam and Eve were asked to keep one reverence to the Lord. And the Lord God commanded the man, "You are free to eat of any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die" (Genesis 2:16-17). Consequently, Adam and Eve were to leave the Garden of Eden in mere humanity as a result of their disobedience.

In the wisdom and grace of God, mankind is given a second opportunity to return to our original estate (the hope of glory). This plan, given in the fullness of time, is the redemption and salvation in Jesus Christ. He's taken upon himself the disobedience and sin of Adam and Eve and has brought new life to us by His sacrifice at Calvary (whereby justice and mercy was served on the cross). This is a true testimony of God's love in that he gave his only begotten son for everyone who'd believe the gospel message, which was also witness to signs and wonders.

The purpose of providing this blog was to share upbeat news while watching the state of affairs in our communities. As Elisha the prophet said: "Where is the Lord, the God of Elijah?" And yet today, there is hardly any evidence of a victorious church and prayer meetings with people weeping for lost souls. Our modern society has rejected the gospel as a nice story that our grandparents once shared and replaced it with the school of superficial thought. A clever plot unfolding since the Garden of Eden ... on how to decrease the act of repentance by convincing people that nothing is out of the ordinary. So once again, where is the compassion for souls.

The world is quickly moving towards an end-time scenario. The powers and advocates of an utopian imagery are allowed to entice and entrap lost souls — to weed out those who have neglected or rejected the way of salvation. Thereby the kingpins and workers of darkness are given false reflections of greater power and prosperity in the new age. Once again, they don't realize the brevity of the tribulation hour. There is no star gate of escape or magical potion to change their doleful destiny of eternity lost. A sad state of affairs; as the opportunity to accept God's salvation is slipping away. Surely, recent news events and political posturing are heralding an ominous curtain call on demoralized personalities.

This world was created with loving hands and the people were given freedom of choice. The golden rule is provided to help people find the harmony of good living. And therefore, as people get older, we realize that life is short and there must be something more. And here we are today with the message of God's good pleasure. A message of love and an invitation to accept God's salvation. The atonement over hopelessness and the way of redemption: the hope of glory.

"Ye rejoice greatly with joy unspeakable and full of glory."

The Psalmist tells us that when once in the desert they were perishing for want of water, they simply gathered in a little circle upon the burning sands and with their staves dug a little well in the sand, and lifted their voices to God in song of praise.

Immediately the waters sprang up from the depths below and overflowed again, as at Horeb and Kadesh, from the subterranean springs.

So the Rock of Ages sends its living fountains all along our way and although the desert may be all around us and the wells may seem dry, yet faith has only to make room and lift up the song of praise even in the hottest desert, and immediately the waters will spring forth in abundance, and we shall sing again.
